A few weeks ago I left Malta to try my luck somewhere else. I would have loved to organize the event I intended to hold, a conference regarding Maltese contemporary architecture (or rather lack thereof), however circumstances do not allow me to pursue such an interesting but unprofitable venture. I would like to thank the people who offered their help with organizing it: Norbert Attard, Narcy Calamatta and Eduard Duca. Their support gave me really warm feelings towards Malta.
In order to repay the favour I’ll share with you some observations regarding the problems of Maltese developments and offer suggestions for change.
Thus far I have designed and built three buildings, which are, for reasons of budget constraints and inexperience, not as spectacular as I would have liked them to be. Nevertheless I am very proud of how my hotel turned out to be, and I know I am capable of designing buildings that are truly special. 
Last month I was in Dubai promoting an app called “Designated Driver”. A longtime friend and business associate needed help marketing an app he’d been working on for the past year, which was about to go live. 
A friend of mine who owns a sizeable coffee plantation located at some of the highest areas of Central Panama asked me: “On my land I have several creeks and lots of water, I was wondering if we could make a lake there?” My usual reply to such questions is: “Let’s find out, when do we start?”
